Waste management planning for the Agora real estate project in Gatineau
A Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) presents challenges due to the mix of uses (retail, office space, housing, public areas). Waste management is no exception. Is it possible to effectively and efficiently manage waste from a high density site with limited vehicle access? At the request of Junic, the proponent of the Agora project, Stratzer presented an innovative system comprising a value-added collection service. This was combined with a centralized processing of waste in compactors for significant savings in collection costs.
