Profile of industrial, commercial and institutional (IC&I) waste deposits
The Regional County Municipality (RCM) of La Haute-Gaspésie wished to obtain more precise data than the usual waste estimate tools for the industrial, commercial and institutional (IC&I) sectors. For this mandate, Stratzer developed a personalized approach combining global theoretical analysis and real data collection. However, in the absence of a sufficiently complete database of companies and their characteristics, Stratzer had to modify its approach while maintaining the general objective. Stratzer was able to adapt to this gap by first analyzing data for the IC&I collected by the municipal service (by bin or container). Actual field visit values were then used, from the 50 top waste generators, to complete the original estimates.
