Review of waste Management System
Stratzer conducted a comprehensive analysis of the waste management system for Norfolk County, Ontario, including the collection of garbage, recyclables, yard waste and bulky items. The analysis included a review of the regulatory framework as well as a review of collection routes, frequencies and containers. Stratzer also conducted a cost analysis as well as a benchmark analysis with similar municipal organizations. The results allowed Stratzer to make recommendations regarding the implementation of automated collection as well as a progressive implementation of source-separated organics collection.
