Stratzer’s team carried out the continuous sorting of waste generated during the COP15 activities concerning the protection of worldwide biodiversity.
In addition, waste samples will be characterized in order to quantify single-use products, recyclables and organics. During the characterization, Stratzer will pay special attention to the contamination rate of recyclables and organics.
The results of the sorting and characterization will allow Stratzer’s team to prepare a waste management diagnosis of COP15 activities. This portrait of waste management, intended for Public Services and Procurement Canada, will aim at reinforcing best practices during similar international events.
