Source reduction, reuse and recovery in dental clinics

With Stratzer’s contribution, the Association of dental surgeons of Québec (‘ACDQ’) deployed its Green Program a few years ago. It consists of guidelines for dental clinics to promote source reduction, reuse and recovery. However, various single-use items, mainly made of plastic, are still used on a regular basis. These items cannot be sent to the usual recovery channels. With the collaboration of various stakeholders, Stratzer has reviewed the alternatives and researched the opportunities. These new practices were tested in pilot projects in two dental clinics.
