Transports Desgagnés: A first "Zero Waste" ship
Transports Desgagnés owns and operates a large shipping fleet serving various regions, including the North Shore and Northern Québec. Through waste diagnosis, characterizations, awareness measures and certifications, Stratzer has been collaborating to improve the corporation’s waste management for several years. With Transports Desgagnés, Stratzer has pushed the boundaries by working on a “Zero Waste” ship concept for the Bella Desgagnés. An exhaustive assessment of the products used on board as well as of waste management practices gave opportunities for improvement in this direction. Actions will be implemented on an ongoing basis until the “Zero Waste” objective is attained.
