Study on the marketing and end-of-life management of pressurized fuel containers
Stratzer conducted a study for RECYC-QUÉBEC concerning the value chain of pressurized fuel containers. The study provided information for the designation of new products under extended producer responsibility (EPR). The first objective of the study was to develop a portrait of the marketing, use and end-of-life management of these containers in Quebec. Stratzer highlighted that several factors are favorable to the implementation of an EPR program for pressurized containers, despite the required involvement of retailers and the complexity of the regulations. Since the study, pressurized fuel containers have been added to the list of EPR products in Québec.
